Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training for Dubai Duty-Free
The Client
Dubai Duty Free operates the retail operations in both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport.
It employs over 4000 staff and is one of the largest travel retail operators on the world and is continuing to grow rapidly.
Requirements
Initially to training team leaders and managers in Lean Six Sigma Training Courses for the Yellow Belt.
Having run several batches and expanded the audience to new graduates we are now continuing with yellow belt and introducing green belt.
The Solution
Sales Training International started with 14 team leads / managers. We did a launch, so everyone knew what to expect during the process and then ran a 2-day course. Everyone then had 2 weeks to agree on an individual project to work on within the organisation.
The projects had to demonstrate the use of all yellow belt tools and save the equivalent of £10,000 per project. We had a mix of staff from all departments. The trainer mentored each person through their project, and we achieved a 94% pass rate with total savings in excess of £400,000.00.
We have continued to roll out Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training with saving well into the millions and are now introducing Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Course. We are proud to be on the journey with Dubai Duty-Free helping them become a certified Lean Six Sigma organisation.
